Say that you have install a SSL certificate in your website and now want to bring all your website to display with HTTPS instead of HTTP than what you need to do is very simple. Just add the following lines on top of your .htacess file. (You can download a sample htaccess file here or simple can create it by yourself using notepad and than removing its .txt extension and changing file title to .htaccess instead of htaccess without dot) Â RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on RewriteRule ^ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} This will work with all applications. However in WP there is another option that will ease up this process.
